Orion Nebula

The Orion Nebula is a diffuse nebula just south of Orion’s Belt. It is one of the brightest nebulae and is visible to the naked eye. It is 1344 light years away from earth and is around 24 light years across. It has a mass of 2,000 times that of our Sun. It is by far the most photographed nebula in our night sky. This nebula is the result of 4 hours of exposure time compiled from 112 single shots.

In Greek Mythology, Orion was a great hunter of whom many tales have been told.
