Pickering's Triangle
​
Pickering's Triangle is part of the Cygnus Loop supernova remnant. This same area of sky includes the Easter and Western Veil Nebulas. It is believed that a star 20x the size of the sun exploded 10,000 to 20,000 years ago leaving behind this beautiful filamentary nebula.
This image is comprised of 166 Exposures for a total of 27 hours.
